All players read from full score. The assistance of page turners may be necessary for some. The Speaker is amplified. Cues are notated in the score by circled rests. All entrances are approximate. Some flexibility as to speaking pace will be required, especially in metered movements and sections. In the 5th movement, "Truth is not the secret of a few", the clarinet and speaker perform without the conductor's assistance after the short intro. Within reason, the clarinet should feel free to make adjustments to the extended performance techniques indicated, according to his/her abilities.
