I recently found out that "our god", an electronic piece I composed several years ago, received a performance at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. It was part of an audio installment at an art gallery through which an estimated crowd of 300 passed. Mine was one of several works that added to the experience. Sadly, though I distinctly recall submitting "our god" for this opportunity, I was informed of my inclusion after the fact, so I was unable to check it out for myself. Who knows, I am starting to believe in the whole six degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon phenomenon that is currently sweeping the country, so if anyone of you, my handful of loyal visitors, happened to be in attendance last month on the auspicious day of January 25th, write back and fill me in on your impression of this event. . . . which by the way was called Free Play 6.
