Neva Pilgrim hosts Fresh Ink on WCNY, Sunday, January 11th from 2:00 to 3:00pm. "Diversions" is the first of three shows that will include selections from "Melville's Dozen", recorded by pianist Nicola Melville on the Innova label. Marc Mellits' "Etude No.2: Defensive Chili" and my "3 Preludes to Missing the Point" will air alongside John Steven's "Diversions" on the Summit label, and Dexter Morrill Blanton's "Suite for Improvising Double Bass". Further selections from "Melville's Dozen" will be included on the January 18th broadcast: "Inspired Music" (Mark Olivieri, Gabriela Lena Frank and Stacy Garrop) and January 25th: "Music with Attitude" (Stephen Paulus, Kevin Beavers and Phillip Rhodes).
